Mara Tschudi primarily works with colors, often from colored paper, composing vibrant structures, rhythms, and surfaces that she arranges into images. Her abstract visual world emerges from an intimate engagement with colors, shapes, and patterns. In collaboration with PUUL Ceramics, Mara’s abstract color compositions are transformed into functional bowls, adding a new dimension to them. The technique of collage is applied to ceramics as if it were paper. Pure color areas placed side by side form patterns. Finely rolled, colored clay is torn and rearranged to form bowls. The resulting compositions come in various sizes, colors, and shapes, each piece being unique.
